To work out exactly what you should expect, multiply all ofĪnd divide by the volume of what you're miningĥ40 x 1.25 x 1.2 x 1.12 /0.6 = 1512 omber per cycle Nagilam > u better leave Rodge, u will not gank any1 else 2nite. Sig inappropriate-not eve related -Abdalion Not that I actually ever mine, of course. They cost more, but they're definitely worth it (at least for crok/bistot which is what I use them for). The T2 crystals give about 16.6% more ore over the T1 lasers. Base value is fine to use, since you're multiplying these totals by exactly the same multiplier to get your total. That corrolates with you getting around 1500 omber before and approx an extra 100 with T1 crystals. So, at it's base, you get about 8.3% more ore with T2 lasers and T1 crystals. Strip Miner II w T2 crystal = 360x1.75 = 630 ore/cycle Strip Miner II w T1 crystal = 360x1.625 = 585 ore/cycle Lets look at the base maths, before ship bonuses come in. Try using the T2 crystals, they do make a serious difference! Unrealistic expectations here, I'm afraid. Switch back and sell off your T2 stuff (at least you don't lose value from it being 'used'). If that's right, your astrogeo and mining are still there, but you no longer benefit from mining barge 3 or whatever. I'm not sure on this one, but without looking it up, it sounds like you're loosing the ship bonuses by going T2. Signature too large, please ensure it is 400*120 pixels or less - Udat Besides ultimately you're going to make back the cost of the tech 2 modules by selling the increased amount of ore/mins that you get. I think it's a bit of balancing that CCP have done and tbh once you get used to it it doesn't sting as much. Loading tech 2 ammo into a tech 2 weapon makes a big difference to the tech 1 fitted with tech 1.īut with the pleasure comes the pain, tech 2 is very expensive and we are using very expensive tech 2 ammo at what can be a very rapid rate. Tech 1 ammo in Tech 2 guns whilst boasts an increase may not be up to everyone's expectations. We face this exact same problem every time we want to fight/shoot npc's. Welcome to the world that pvp'ers & npc'ers face all the time If this is working as intended, why would I blow the hefty price tag of the Tech 2 modules on such a small increase (Approximately 12 mil ISK each at Hek), especially given that the crystals must also be purchased, and are expendable, thus mitigating even the small increase I do get. Is this a bug? Are the bonuses meant to apply to to one and not the other? (Skills include Mining 5, Astrogeology 4, each of which confer a yield bonus). I got to looking at the numbers and it seems as if the bonuses from my various mining skills were being applied to the Tech 1 Strip miners, but not their modulated tech 2 cousins. Quite frankly, I was expecting a bigger boost than this given the cost of of the Tech II strip miner modules, and the skills required to use them. Recently though, was able to afford buying two of the Modualted Strip Miner II's, and equipped them with tech 1 omber crystals, and my yield went up roughly 100 omber per cycle. My yield was just over 1500 omber per cycle. So, I up until a few days ago, I had been using dual strip miner I's to mine omber. Now, with current mineral prices, at full mineral cost, new omber will land at roughly 270 ISK/m3, which is within 260-280 ISK/m3 cluster all hisec ores currently reside in. If, assuming same miner-hours, plag or scord are dropped in favor of omber, production of pyerite in hisec also decreases, and even harder than trit does, which will possibly cure the pyerite inflation situation we have now. That is around twice that of pyro, 1/4th of plag, and 1/7th of scord. New omber will be around 1.6 pyerite per m3, a bit higher than current trit. The change is very good actually, because it has implications not only on trit, but also pyerite. So, instead of killing, it might actually decrease its volume produced in hisec, unless miners specifically drop plag in order to mine omber. Now, plag has 1/2 of new omber in trit, pyro will be roughly equal (about 10% less but w/e, comparable), and tossing veld/scord will mean a lot less trit. Not to mention that considering miner hours are not gonna change, mining omber more means mining veld/scord/plag/pyro less. It's still only gonna be around 1/2 scordite and 1/3 veldspar in trit. through I guess omber in low/null would now become a bit more valued. Actually wonder if this will kill the trit market.
